The genesis of HIT-J came after observing the passing of an old friend who had been suffering from dementia. I tried to imagine myself in his situation and, from that, 'Monster Time' emerged.

This song would be the first of a series capturing some of the issues surrounding the aging process.

I did have a brief encounter with the charts in 1998, arranging and co- producing Shamrock’s Top 20 ‘Tell Me Ma’ but most of my professional life has involved running a recording service for songwriters at EQ Studios in West London.

Subjects include:

Urban despair, song for a dying partner, living with dementia, love from beyond the grave, lullaby for a grandchild.
